<p>Als <b>Pushforward</b> wird eine Abbildung zwischen <a href="Tangentialraum" title="Tangentialraum">Tangentialräumen</a> <a href="Differenzierbare_Mannigfaltigkeit" title="Differenzierbare Mannigfaltigkeit">glatter Mannigfaltigkeiten</a> bezeichnet, die die im euklidischen Raum definierte <a href="Richtungsableitung" title="Richtungsableitung">Richtungsableitung</a> verallgemeinert.
</p><p>Das duale Konzept heißt meist <a href="R%C3%BCcktransport" title="Rücktransport">Rücktransport</a> (<i>Pullback</i>).
